Prime Minister Joseph Muscat this morning launched the Jobs+ at Lufthansa Technik, together with the Jobs+ social partners sitting on the MCESD. Jobs+ is a scheme based on the Active Labour the Jobs+ social partners sitting on the MCESD. Jobs+ is a scheme based on the Active Labour Market Policy (ALMP) proposal presented by UĦM and endorsed by all the social partners.
The launch today ensures that this policy will be implemented through a committee under the MCESD, chaired by Clyde Caruana, UHM’s economic consultant. The committee will set a programme to start identifying schemes, which will start to be implemented next year.
The ALMP encompasses a five-tier set of proposals which can help Malta to catch up with the EU27, by increasing high skilled jobs through ensuring that workers are provided with adequate skills to make them employable.
