Members benefit from expert support on workplace matters and guidance in career development. We actively negotiate on your behalf to secure better working conditions, fair treatment, and the professional recognition you deserve. With several sectoral agreements in place, we are committed to protecting your rights and responding to your needs in a constantly evolving healthcare environment. Together, we work to ensure your voice is heard and respected within the health sector.
This section comprises employees in the private sector and provides assistance on individual issues, including disputes and grievances. It also represents workers in collective bargaining processes, ensuring fair wages, conditions and rights through a collective agreement.

This section comprises employees across a range of government agencies, regulatory bodies, and various public sector organizations. UHM provides personalized, one-on-one support to its members, which includes thorough career guidance, expert advice on workplace issues, and comprehensive representation in legal and employment matters. This section incorporates all public service employees except for education & healthcare which are covered by other sections within UHM. The public service is divided into several streams and professions but all employees are covered by one collective agreement. However, almost each stream is covered by a separate sectoral agreement which caters for its particular needs.
The Gozo branch of UHM Voice of the Workers provides dedicated support to workers across the island, offering representation in workplace disputes, legal guidance, and assistance with employment rights. It ensures that Gozitan workers have direct access to union services without travelling to Malta. The branch also supports collective bargaining efforts, handles membership applications, and actively engages with local issues affecting workers in both the public and private sectors.
The Pensioners’ Section represents and supports retired members, ensuring their voices are heard on key issues such as pensions, healthcare, and quality of life. UHM Voice of the Workers empowers young workers by promoting their rights, encouraging active participation in the labour movement, and addressing issues that affect youth in the workplace. It provides guidance on employment conditions, training opportunities, and career development. We also represent youth interests in national and international forums, ensuring the voice of young workers is heard in policy-making and collective bargaining processes.
