UĦM delegation tours Allied Newspapers, Progress Press – Times of Malta

A delegation from the UĦM this afternoon toured the offices of Allied Newspapers in Valletta and Progress Press in Mrieħel as part of May 1 Workers’ Day events.

They were shown around by Adrian Hillman, Group managing director and chairman of Progress Press and Michel Rizzo, managing director of Progress Press.

The UĦM delegation was led by Jesmond Bonello, president and Josef Vella, general secretary.

Mr Vella underlined the importance which the union gives to its Jobs+ policy for job creation and said the union would set up an action committee to promote job creation and workers’ training, and discourage benefit fraud.
