Membership is open to all employees in government agencies, public sector organizations, and regulatory bodies. Every worker has the legal right to join a union of their choice—even if that union is not recognized at your workplace for collective bargaining.
You can join UHM by:
• Completing the online application form on our website
• Visiting our main office at 35, St Thomas Street, Floriana
• Visiting our Gozo office at Dar l-Għaqda, Castle Street, Victoria
Our staff will guide you through the process.
Membership is €52 per year (€1 per week). The fee can be deducted directly from your salary. It supports all union services, including representation, negotiations, legal assistance, and training. Payment can also be affected by instalments.

Yes. UHM ensures fair treatment by providing members with professional representation throughout any disciplinary or grievance process.
This is the process where UHM negotiates with employers on behalf of members to secure better pay, conditions, benefits, and protections across your sector or workplace.
